This is the Red Lodge site or MTRED.  This is the same site as the 147.360 repeater.  There are several links from this site at 9600kb.  The main node (MTRED) is on 144.950 and is using a Mitrex radio and a Paccom Tiny Two TNC.  The antenna is a diamond triband antenna.  The antenna is also used for the repeater links to Billings and to Little Wolf.

There are three UHF 9600kb links from this site.  #BAN4 is the link that goes to Columbus Microwave site to hook to #BAN3.  #MTRL is the link that goes to Little Wolf and connects to #WUF1.  #REDSH is the link that goes to Shell, Wyo and connects to #SHRED.

All the backbone radios are Mitrex and the TNC's are Paccom Spirits.

The following are pictures of the site:

36Building.jpg (61737 bytes) This is the building on Red Lodge Mountain.  This building also houses the 147.360 repeater.  Pictured here is Uncle Don K7PO.
36tower.jpg (54844 bytes) Here is the tower and antenna system used for the packet and the 147.360 repeater.  The large corner reflector is the 9600 baud backbone to Little Wolf mountain site near Colstrip, MT.
36Tower&Ant.jpg (54154 bytes) Another look at the tower and antennas.  The smaller beams are used for the packet links and the repeater links.
